broadcasts will start at 12:30 p.m. each day Monday
through Friday. There will also be a sports show on
Mondays at 3:30 p.m., an interview show on Tuesdays
at 4 p.m., and an evening news program on Wednesdays

The
Association for Women in Sports Media awards
scholarships and paid summer internships to female
college students pursuing careers in sports writing,
editing, broadcasting and public relations.

All interns receive a $1,000 scholarship, plus $300
toward travel expenses to the 2007 AWSM convention
in Dallas , waived convention fees and free lodging
at the host hotel. Copy editing interns earn an
additional $1,000 scholarship from the Associated
Press Sports Editors.
Organizations that have hosted interns in the past
include Sports Illustrated, ESPN,
USA Track & Field, Newark Star-Ledger, St.
Petersburg Times, Cleveland Plain Dealer and
Detroit News.
Applications must be postmarked by Oct. 20. Winners
will be notified by the end of December.
