The Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy offers degree programs leading to the bachelor's degree in history and political science, as well as to a master of arts in history. Completion of one of these programs will lead to several career opportunities for the student interested in the history and political science field.

The SS&P faculty strive to maintain a personal relationship with every student. Each major works closely with a faculty member who serves as advisor and academic mentor. Our professors have an "open-door" policy, which creates an environment of accessibility, support, and interaction with our students. At all times, we work to build educational foundations for students which will encourage and enable them to explore the wide range of career opportunities open to them.
