Writers' Guidelines

Submissions are preferred from August 1st through February 28th. Work submitted will be considered for both the online and print edition.

Please enclose a cover letter with author's name and address, a brief bio, a short list of published works, and a SASE. Indicate for return of manuscript if necessary, and use the required amount of postage.

We do not accept simultaneous submissions or previously published material.

Poetry: We accept blank verse, free verse, sonnets, dramatic monologues, etc. Single-spaced is acceptable for poetry, with no more than five poems per submission.

Fiction: Due to space restraints, please limit stories to 2000 words. All works must be typed and double-spaced, with a word-count included with submission.

HowTo Submit Work

Thanks for considering to make a contribution to Nebo! As aforementioned, we accept submissions between August 1 and February 28.

Unfortunately, we are not yet accepting electronic submissions. So, to send us your work via the U.S. Postal Service, pull out those dusty postage stamps, stick 'em to an envelope (you remember how this goes?) and mail the whole shebang to:

Don't forget to include an SASE or, if you'd rather, an e-mail address for response (if you don't want your work back).

Unfortunately we can't afford to pay our writers, but we'll send you a copy of the mag fresh off the press.
