Don't you just love

rednecks and hippies?

They have so much in common.

...stray dogs and cheap wine

lots of babies in log cabins

with holes in the door

falling down drunk

high in the mountains

crazy tanned Buddhas

with Dough-boy beer bellies

long hair and thick beards

Blue Ribbon and Two Fingers

naked girls in the moonlight

in old beat-up trucks

with bumper stickers that read

"Fuck the World" and "If you don't

like the way I drive

call 1-800-EAT-SHIT!"

barefoot and big breasted

women who dance

to loud music with cowboys

and black leather angels

on hot summer nights...

They get by with out-

houses and rooster crow alarms.

They throw wild parties

to raise their neighbors' barns.

They hang flags for the dead

and never say good-bye

just come back sometime.

Rednecks and hippies

come as one with the wind.
