NEBO Home Page

From the minds of creative Arkansas Tech Students

Our award winning literary journal

Nebo is ATU's literary magazine created and managed by English and Creative Writing students. We are a small print magazine operating on a shoe-string budget;
however, the amount of money that goes in to it doesn't reflect the quality of the writing which comes out of it.

Yes, the Nebo web site has undergone a few revisions.
There are soon to be 3 new areas of interest.
The Events, Featured Poems, and Class Info pages
have yet to be added but you can look forward
to having these new sections soon.

The Events section will display all the current
and planned Nebo events, such as
the times of the poetry readings
at higher grounds
and who the featured speaker will be.

The Poem section allows students to send
in poems to the Nebo Website staff.
The Staff will then select one of the poems
to display on that page. This poem will change.
So if you are not featured the first time regret not,
you can try again and perhaps your poem
will be chosen.

The Class Info. section will display the requirements for the class as well as the reviewing guidelines and other class policies.

We hope you enjoy the new site. We'll try our
best to finish it as soon as possible.

A Little about us:
Nebo: A Literary Journal, began as the Five Cent Cigar in 1971 and took its current name in 1976.
Nebo is unique in that it routinely publishes Arkansas Tech students and unpublished writers along side nationally known writers.
In addition, the mag is edited and staffed entirely by English and Creative Writing students at Arkansas Tech.
Recently Nebo has won awards at the Arkansas College Media Awards for poetry, fiction, and art.

Nebo is published twice yearly, in the spring and fall semesters, and accepts submissions of poetry and short prose fiction between August 15 and January 31 of each year.
Subscriptions are $10 per year.
