• F. W. Murnau (1888-1931) Nosferatu (1922), Last Laugh (1924) silent film with only one concluding title, used camera movement extensively.
• Leni Riefenstahl Triumph of the Will (1935), Olympiad (1936-38). Spent four years in prison after war.
