Preparatory Reading
Before beginnning this assignment, read pages 40-48, which describe the analytic report assignment and provide two model reports.

Your Assignment
You are to write a short questionnaire on a topic of your choice. I suggest that you include only one or two identifying questions. These are questions that tell you about the person responding (sex, age, education, etc.) Include two or three substantive questions about your topic. (the respondants's opinions). Send me a copy of your questionnaire to complete this response assignment. I will try to grade the assignment and return it to you in time for you to make adjustments before administering it.

You will use this questionnaire to gather data for your analytic report.

Tip: Your grade on this assignment will be based on the clarity, objectivity, and appropriateness of your questions.

Objective
Writing effective and useful questionnaires is a complicated business, so this course does not pretend to cover the subject adequately. This response assignment permits you to see the difficulties of such a task while helping you generate original data to use in your analytic report.
